Devonshire Manufacturing Group, Inc. is the manufacturer of the unique Jobu Design products for the photographic market.

Made in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, we strive to create the highest quality products at affordable prices. We listen carefully to feedback from our novice and professional customers as well as our retailers, who put our products through severe real-world tests.

Our goal is to use the best materials and processes to make great products that survive long-term outdoor usability and punishment.

We have worked hard to design products that are world class and will survive in the harshest environments. Time after time we have been shown that cheap foreign goods (whether simple screws and bearings, raw aluminum or entire gimbal heads) simply DO NOT WORK as expected and are simply a waste of time, energy and money for everyone involved. Our goal for 2011 is to eliminate 99% of foreign content in our premium products, leaving only high quality components made in Canada/USA. We want to make sure that our products are backed up by high quality manufacturers.

We can assure our customers that all of our gimbals, lensplates and CNC aluminum products all qualify for NAFTA (meaning that they are mainly made in the USA/Canada). All of our gimbals and accessories are designed, machined and hand-assembled with care in our Mississauga, Ontario office.

Warranty Information:

Our products carry a warranty of 5 years for all gimbal heads. We will strive to offer warranty work past 5 years, however this will entirely depend on availability of components from your product age. We update products approximately every 2 years, and often components become end-of-life and simply cannot be sourced any longer.

Upgrades:

Quite often we are asked about upgrading products with newer components. This can usually be accomplished simply and inexpensively, often your old items will be traded-in as well. Just email us and we'll discuss your requirements. CHECK HERE for current offers.

Purchase Information:

Purchases can be made with any major credit card through our secure website www.jobu-design.com (Visa, MC, AMEX)

Please note, for VISA/MC/Amex orders we charge in $CAD at the prices shown. Your credit card company will convert the charges back to $US (if in the US) or Euros, or local currency. Due to exchange rate differences there may be a slight discrepancy in the final price, Jobu Design is not liable for adjusting this difference.

Gimbal Product Demos / Test Drives

Some of our products are available for demo or an extended test-drive period. This is easiest to achieve with our Canadian customers as cross-border shipping is a hassle and can incur extra charges.

If you live within Canada, and would like to schedule a product test drive, demo or try-before-you buy, please contact us and we will accomodate you as best as possible. You will bear the cost of shipping both ways to your location, and we will authorize your credit card for the amount of the gimbal head, but you will not be charged. If you choose to keep it, or keep it longer than 15 days, we will charge you for the purchase.

If you live within the GTA, you can come in and pick up a demo head if you want to try one out for a test drive. There are several excellent nearby parks with many birds/waterfowl that will allow you to fully test the equipment out.

Product Returns

Products purchased from dealers should be returned to dealers, unless there is a warranty issue. Then please contact us for return information.

Products purchased factory-direct may be returned within 45 days of purchase for full refund, minus shipping charges. Orders over 45 days will be subject to a 25% restocking fee.

Shipping Information:

• Leave the shipping to us. We have years of experience finding the lowest DELIVERED cost to you. Our website does not calculate shipping, it only offers a placeholder fee.  A real human will check your options for lowest shipping costs and we only charge the lowest rate possible.
• Generally, we ship by Canadapost, Expresspost or UPS to the USA.
• UPS is the best and most reliable way we ship. It is expensive but worth it for orders over $500.
• We can ship by any other method you desire -- let us know beforehand if you need an alternate shipper or can provide your Account #.
• Keep in mind that major holidays will slow down ALL the couriers! This also goes for hurricanes and snowstorms, etc. Please order early and do not wait until the last minute before your big trip -- you may be disappointed.

Other Shipping Fees Disclaimer:

• International Shipments: PLEASE NOTE this INCLUDES USA! Customs charges, duties, import taxes, sales tax, brokerage fees... these are all possible charges that your home country and/or courier may charge you upon delivery. Devonshire Manufacturing bears no responsibility whatsoever regarding these charges and will not reimburse individuals for these charges. It is up to the buyer to investigate with their local customs office, UPS or USPS BEFORE ORDERING.
• • For example, VAT and Duty Tax for photographic goods to the EU can be up to 25% of the retail price of the product!
  • USA shipments over $50US. Potential charges include $25 brokerage fee + $10 entry preparation + $2-5 misc handling charges + Your STATE TAX.
  • USA shipments under $50: Usually no charges.
• If you are UNSURE, ASK FIRST.
• We HIGHLY RECOMMEND you purchase from our DEALERS in your HOME COUNTRY to avoid shipping delays, brokerage fees and suprise taxes. The dealers have already absorbed these costs, so please bear that in mind when calculating your landed cost.
