FAQ
Can I get this head in Arctic White, or Forest camo? The BWG-Pro is now available in BLACK or FIELD GREEN. We must limit the number of colour choices due to manufacturing, inventory and cost reasons. So please do not ask for other choices and respect that we do try to keep the cost as LOW as possible on our products, variations make it extremely more expensive. PLEASE note that LENSCOAT now offers 6 different solid colour and camo colour covers for the BWG-Pro.
Is it overkill for my lens? - For most F4 pro-sumer sized lenses, it is not necessary to have this level of stiffness due to the minimal weight of the lenses. However, a lens like the Nikon 200-400 F4 is actually 7lbs without a camera, so we would recommend it in this case.
Is the BWG-Pro bigger and harder to pack? The BWG-Pro is only slightly heavier than our current BWG-HD model and is the same overall dimensions (LxWxH).
Will the BWG-Pro bearings rust? All of our bearings are double sealed and grease impregnated. We do not anticipate any chance of corrosion for the life of the product. If you have a special application (ie, underwater photography, then please contact us and we can build a 100% corrosion resistant unit for you (YES, we have done this in the past!))
Do you offer a longer quick release? Although we certainly guarantee that our regular 2.5" quick release is more than adequate for most photographers, we do offer a 4" long quick release for the BWG-Pro (and other heads). Check the QRR-3
