The Micro-Head Offset Adapter moves the center-line of your lens closer to the the center of the ballhead. Every lens foot is different and some are taller than others, this helps get you closer to where you want to be.
 
The Micro Gimbal head works great on it's own, but if you have a tall lens foot, you may find your kit overhanging the top of your tripod more than  you like, and adding the Offset Adapter gives you some re-centering ablility by gaining 2" of offset, with minimum weight penalty.
 
Includes 2x 1/4"-20 mounting screws and 5/32" stainless allen key for installation.
